How this website works

ShieldAPI.com publishes pages, images, stylesheets, and local browser scripts. The delivered site has no account system, newsletter signup, search form, or contact form. Its interface does not submit API requests, prompts, or example payloads to a service.

The policy explorer uses fixed examples in your browser. Copy buttons use your browser’s clipboard capability when you activate them. The site does not read the existing contents of your clipboard.

Local preferences

The motion control can save your paused or running preference in the browser’s session storage under shieldapi-motion. This preference is used to pause the site’s decorative animations during the browsing session. It is not transmitted by the site’s scripts.

Your browser’s reduced-motion setting is also respected. The site does not set analytics, advertising, or login cookies. Its local scripts contain no analytics trackers, advertising pixels, or remote telemetry requests.

Hosting and ordinary web requests

Loading a web page necessarily sends requests to the server that hosts it. The hosting provider or site operator may process connection information such as an IP address, requested path, browser information, and request time for delivery, security, or operations. Hosting-level logging depends on the deployment and is separate from the local scripts described above.

The delivered assets are served from the same site rather than loading external font libraries, embedded videos, or third-party tracking scripts. Operators who add new integrations should review and update this page to describe the resulting behavior accurately.

Email correspondence

Email links open your device’s mail application. Sending a message shares the address, message content, and attachments you choose to include with the mailbox recipient and the email systems involved in delivery. This is separate from browsing the website.

Do not send passwords, tokens, API keys, private customer records, or sensitive production payloads. For corrections, a page path and a sanitized explanation are usually enough. Contact [email protected] for questions about website correspondence.

External references

Some articles link to official sources on other websites. Following one of those links opens a site with its own practices. ShieldAPI.com’s page scripts do not control those services. Review the destination’s information before sharing data with it.

The reference library explains why particular sources are cited. A reference link does not represent an account connection, a data-sharing integration, or a partnership.

Questions and changes

Send questions through the contact page and identify the feature or data flow involved. This page describes the behavior of the website as delivered on September 19, 2026. Changes to hosting, forms, tracking, or external integrations may require an updated description.
